There’s nothing like a set of big, round, strong…
lint-removing dryer balls.
What?
In case you haven’t heard of them, dryer balls are rubber round balls about 3 to 5 inches in diameter that you throw in the dryer with your clothes instead of dryer sheets. They last for a long time, and take care of static cling and lint pretty well. Here’s a new pair that I just got. I LOVE these things, and I think they’ve cured a rash that I seemed to have developed after using liquid softener last year. (I think I may be allergic). These things are great, and what’s nice is they have some weight to them so they knock around your clothes pretty well, and my sheets always come out nice and soft! Plus, you’ll save a bunch of money on fabric softener.
Anybody else use dryer balls?
I started using these a few months ago and I really like them. I’d heard of them even longer, but admit I was a little suspicious of them at first.
To my surprise, I find they really do work well!
I also heart these dryer balls, and have for a couple of years now. However, I think the dry Southern California climate was contributing to an excess amount of static I was getting in my clothes, so I added these reuseable static eliminator sheets to the mix:

They’re made of microfiber and are effective for about 500 loads; to recharge them I think all you have to do is throw them in the wash with a load. Then it’s back to the dryer where they can live and work for another 500 loads. I also like to use these little lavender sachets they sell at my local Trader Joe’s for a light scent on my clean clothes. After a few dryer loads, you can rip the sachets open, sprinkle them on your carpet and vacuum them up to refresh your rugs!
THESE are NICE. I’ve never seen these. Thank you so much! I also use the lavender sachets, but I make em myself. (That’ll be in a future post). I never thought of using the used lavender on my rugs, what a great idea! Bryan you are officially SAVVY! Thanks a bunch!
