Since my hubby is adamant about eating a certain way, he read labels and understands what certain things mean (cuz sometimes they change the name around and you think it's something different when it's not - cuz he avoids corn syrup as well).
I HAVE noticed that simple things like lunch meat, tomato sauce, salad dressing, "wheat" bread, etc have HFCS in it . . . and I'm wondering WHY? Even the ones that claim to be "health smart" on their label. You really can't shop at the "regular" chain grocer stores. We do a lot of shopping at Whole Foods and other smaller natural grocers in the Bay Area and farmers markets.

Oh absolutely! Everything made my Slim Fast has it too! You'll even find it in those healthy frozen dinners. It's a shame. The problem is, we've gotten so used to the taste, that things that don't have it, don't taste "right". You really have to stick it out and re-acclimate your taste buds.

Girl!!! I saw this lady on TV saying how if we eliminate HFCS out of our diets we'd see so many changes in our health including weightloss. Immediately I went to my kitchen to see what I was putting in my body. Even the things I thought were healthy had HFCS like my Fat Free Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing!!!

All found in regular grocery stores: salad dressings and meat marinades. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods don't have HFCS.

Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup has HFCS. It isn't even sweet. I make my own soup now with organic free-range chicken broth.
