Dr. Dae is BACK folks. This time with some timely information about how many of the things we consider “healthy” aren’t. She even talks about high-fructose corn syrup and some of the things I’ve been discussing here! Even though this video is sponsored by EmpowHer, it’s not just for women.
If you’re breathing, you should watch this!
There’s also a written transcription right under the video on her page, in case you want to print it out and keep it with you! Let’s get healthy people!
As always, please visit Dr. Daemon Jones on her page at the EmpowHer website, and also on her own website HealthyDaes.
She is so on point! As a vegan, I definitely agree with her about the milk, cheese, and even soy. I know vegetarians who eat 4-5 servings of soy products per day. Eating excessive amounts of soy, being one of the most genetically-modified foods, is just as potentially harmful (if not more so) than some meat.
I really like the fact that Dr. Jones encourages people to examine the ingredients to see what they are really consuming. Thanks for sharing!
Your welcome! I’m basically a pescatarian (I eat a vegetarian diet except I eat some fish). This is mainly because soy has caused a variety of problems for me. And it’s EVERYWHERE! Sexy (my hubby) is vegan and I’m trying to convince him to cut back on his soy intake. It’s tough, but I try to cook quinoa, kale and spinach as much as possible and I add nutritional yeast to everything. (I’ll be posting more about this in the future). Thanks for stopping by! You have a great site by the way!
