I know winter is almost over, but but it’s a crummy cold day here in NY. I found this recipe on suite101 awhile back, and altered it for my tastes. I can’t wait to get home and make this one tonight! (It’s vegan, but you won’t care, trust me)
Homemade Quick Hot Chocolate
Total time: 10 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, cocoa and cinnamon (if using) in a small saucepan.
2. Gently stir cocoa mixture into COLD milk with a whisk
3. When most of the cocoa is wet, warm over medium heat, stirring or whisking constantly, until hot. Do NOT boil. (This isn’t tea)
4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
5. Pour into two cups (or one BIG one if this is just for you!) and serve immediately.
YUM!
Funny enough this is how I make my hot chocolate…you will love it…
Really? Great minds think alike!
I didn’t like soy milk at all. Right now I’m loving raw milk. But you know the sound of almond milk for this hot cocoa recipe just might be up my alley. Will try for sure.
I don’t do soy. Try almond milk, you might like it. Where do you get raw milk?
