As someone who's been natural for almost 6 yrs (no chemicals), I have found that my hair is fuller. However, I've been using heat and making the decision to go natural reassures me that I will have healthier hair. And I can do so much more, in terms of styling. In a sense, I'm newly completely "natural" and can't wait for what is to come!

I have been transitioning into my holistic way of living lifestyle for about a year now. I am letting my relaxer grow out. I am using natural cleaning products, vinegar has become my best friend. lol I have 3 daughters under 7, and they are my inspiration for making healthier choices in my life. This website is great. Keep the good info coming! :-)

I love this website! I have been chemical free for the past 8 years and have loved every minute of it but have found that curly hair can be very difficult to manage if you are not using the correct products. I am looking forward to trying this new Kinky Curly products and promote it to other women sporting the natural look. Great site and if possible post photos of before and after using the products:)

My reason for becoming natural stems from a scalp condtion that I have called seborrheic dermatitis it causes a crust to form on the scalp, redness, hair loss and an itchy scalp. It has been the worse conditon I have ever had and nothing every worked until I went natural over a year ago I did the big chop, I didn't care about the hair loss because I knew it would grow back. I changed the products that I use...natural products and I limit the use of oils. I also use Kinky Curly Custard to where my wash and go's. I like the way my hair looks...hair loss and all. Its healthy even though I have to limit what my hair and scalp can stand. I love being natural its the best thing I could have done....regradless of my condition.

The biggest benefit of wearing my hair natural and chemical free is that after years of being relaxed I have finally been able to get control of my eczema. My skin especially on my scalp, face and neck was very dry, tender, red, flaky and itchy and after i let go of the lye my skin got worse...but then it started to get better and better and better.
Great blog btw.

I love using all natural products when possible. There are so many options out there for natural products. I'm learning more and more of the benefits of using more natural products. Your blog is very informative. I would love to win the Kinky Curly products!

The biggest benefit to wearing your hair natural and free of chemicals is that it is one of the first steps that you will take to reclaiming your health and your body. Society dictates, from the time that we are born, how we should wear our hair, what "foods" are good for you, what additives are OK, which styles are acceptable, etc. Once you go natural you open your eyes to the notion that you DON'T have to wear your hair a certain way, or that you hair is not hard to manage, or that you don't have to shampoo your hair, or that you don't have to slather caustic chemicals on your scalp to get your hair to "behave". Going natural is the first step to realizing that there are sooo many options out there for you that will not compromise your health and that you have every right to make your OWN decisions about your life!
Love the blog :-) Very inspirational!

what I really like about having to wear my hair in it's natural state is that, there's no fear in walking in the rain :) also i like to be different...u know, be my own self. I am a very shy person and also have anxiety issues, but i sense a feeling of confidence. Wearing the TWA is fun..(who would have thought).....now the remaining 3 ladies in my family(nuclear) are all wearing their hair natural. And did I mention that wearing my hair natural has empowered me even spiritually....yes.
