@Charretta Yes, this is a full henna recipe. Henna gloss is a shortcut version which just has you mixing the henna with just conditioner and leaving it in for less time. (I haven't tried that method yet, but when I do, I'll blog about it!)

Is this a full henna recipe? I am confused because I see a lot of henna gloss recipes, but I do not know what the differences are between the full henna and the henna gloss.

@Nana J. I'm sorry you didn't have good luck with the henna. I will say that it doesn't really dye your hair. It's really for conditioning, and it has the added benefit of a slight color rinse. After doing a henna application if you follow up withan indigo application, the two combined will dye your hair black and completely cover grays. Find more info on that here. I don't dye my hair, but from what I've read Herbatinit and Naturatint are semi-permanent and permanent natural hair dyes. HTH!

Hello Savvy, this Janice and I tried the Henna and I didn't do so good with
it. What else is a good hair dye to use that out on the market that may not be so harsh on the natural hair. My gray is so scattered in on the front
hair-line I really don't like it. I would appreciate your feedback!
                                                               Thank You, Janice Barber

I'm getting ready to try a henna gloss. My hair tends to be dry regularly, so I'm afraid that doing a full-strength henna treatment will dry it out even further. A gloss looks like a compromise. I don't care much about getting the color, but I'd love all the other benefits (softer, smoother hair, slightly looser curl pattern, etc.). And maybe doing the gloss first will give me a preview of what a full treatment would be like :)

Check out www.themoptopmaven.com for her video on henna gloss. A lot LESS time consuming as a regular henna treatment. That being so, you will do it more often and your hair will love you for it.
