I like Giovanni’s products because they’re made with natural ingredients, they’re vegan, they’re easy to find, they’re affordable, they’re paraben-free and the packaging is recyclable. I heard a lot about different Giovanni’s shampoos (sulfate-free) and condtioners, but this one caught my eye because it’s made for extremely dry hair.

Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner $7.00
Ingredients: Aqua (Purifed) Water, Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil, Nettle (Urtica Dioica) Oil, Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) Oil, Birch (Butela Alba) Leaf Oil, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis Flower) Oil, Clary (Salvia Sclarea), Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), Coltsfoot Leaf (Tussilago Fargara), Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium) Oil, Mallow (Malya Sylvestris), Horsetail (Equisetum Arvense) Oil, Soybean Protein (Glycine Soja), Cetyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Stearalkonium Chloride, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Trace Minerals, Citric Acid (Corn), Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Grapefruit Seed (Citrus Derived)
I LOVE this stuff! It detangles my tight wet curls like a dream. Especially when I use myshower comb. I also use it as one of the ingredients in my Daily Leave-In Conditioner. I also use it to co-wash, and have mixed it with AOHSR as a deep condish. I also used a bt to thin out my henna mix once. I’ve even used a little as a styling aid on my twists and twistouts.
RATING: 5 Savvy – Good ingredients, has multiple uses, and is less than $10!
Do you use Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner? How do you use it?

Hi Savvy, where can I purchase this product? Thanks for sharing!
GSS has been in my HG arsenal for quite some time and I love it. I now get it in the 32oz. size with the pump. I use it as my regular conditioner and sometimes to co wash.
@NewRibena OMG! I’ve gotta find that one. The larger size is probably more cost effective.
It’s $12.99 in Marshall right now for the huge 32 oz bottle with the pump. I’ve been running into it while looking for the Giovanni Direct Leave-In, so if you have a Marshalls I say go get it.
@Rhonda THANK YOU!! I will make my way to Marshalls this week.
Giovanni SAS is also my HG!!! The line can be found at Ulta for buy one get one 1/2 off sometimes and massagewarehouse.com sells them too at great prices and you can buy larger sizes.
Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner $4.99 – $34.99
Giovanni Smooth As Silk Shampoo $4.24 – $29.74
Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner $4.99 – $12.99
Hope that helps ladies
